Dr Peter Herbert wins world championship bronze
Dr. Peter Herbert recently travelled up to Manchester velodrome to compete in the UCI masters world track cycling championships. Competing in the 500m sprint it was a long drive for less than 40 seconds of racing, but resulted in Peter claiming a bronze medal. To see details about the event click here.
Peter has decades of experience as an exercise physiologist and has trained many elite athletes, most notably the Welsh Rugby Team as well as world champions in several sports. He puts this knowledge to good use for himself as he has competed in world championships previously in concept rowing holding world records in 500m and 1000m events.
Peter now focusses on research in relation to high intensity training and supports athletes of all levels through work in the high performance lab at WIPL.
