Geraint Forster

Geraint is passionate about participating in a wide variety of outdoor sports and activities and is a qualified coach/leader in: mountain biking; road cycling; canoeing; kayaking; mountain walking; rock climbing and open-water swimming. Geraint enjoys working towards challenging events/expeditions having completed challenges such as the Tour du Mont Blanc cycle, and finishing in the top 100 amateur athletes at Ironman Wales in 2015. Geraint’s research interests revolve around outdoor endurance activities, including the health benefits of green exercise, and training for endurance sports and challenges. Geraint is programme director for the BSc Outdoor Fitness degree and lectures on a range of outdoor education and outdoor fitness related modules.
